Flow reveals the many faces of Cape Point

Cape Point boasts some of the most breathtaking ocean and mountain scenery on the planet. This narrow stretch of land, dotted with beautiful valleys, bays and beaches, contains a mix of extraordinarily diverse fauna and flora and forms part of the Cape Floral Region, a World Heritage Site.

It completes Cape Town’s “Big Six” attractions, along with Table Mountain, Robben Island, the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and the Constantia Vineyards.

Flow was enthusiastic and excited about putting together new brochures in time for the Indaba tourism expo, for this premier tourist attraction for our long-standing client, the Thebe Tourism Group. Read more…

Journ-AIDS provides safe passage through HIV/AIDS reporting minefield

HIV/AIDS is a tricky subject to cover, journalistically speaking.

In addition to being a chronic illness which, if left untreated, is fatal, it also carries with it social stigma that has seen people vilified, ostracised, and in some cases, murdered, simply for having contracted the disease.

Reporting on the disease abounds with stereotypes and stereotyping. The Fourth Estate is encouraged to provide an independent voice and perspective, but it’s all too easy to simply reflect the views of those who see the disease as “a whore’s disease”, “a gay disease” or “a black disease”.
