Flowstars head to INDABA

–On Friday, May 6, Flowstars Kate Rau and Miliswa Sitshwele left for INDABA 2011, one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African continent. Flow helps Hollard with “OH” intranet launch

Flow Communications recently partnered with Hollard Insurance to help them launch their new intranet, known as OH.
“In the six weeks leading up to the launch we helped them with internal communication planning and content, creating hype around the new system and making sure that all ‘Hollardites’ (as their team member are affectionately known within the company) were kept up to date on the ins and outs of OH ahead of its official launch on May 3,” says Flow journalist Stuart Dickinson, who formed part of the project communications team. Candle vigil for detained journalist – World Media Freedom Day

On World Media Freedom Day, Tuesday May 3, Anton Hammerl’s wife Penny Sukhraj, his mother Freda Hammerl and brother Alex Hammerl will light candles for him at a vigil in London to mark the 29th day of his captivity in Libya.
Simultaneously in Johannesburg his father Ludwig Hammerl will join Anton’s friends, former colleagues and journalists based in South Africa, to light candles and call for his release.

Flow gives Maropeng online a new look

One of Flow’s oldest clients, the Maropeng Visitor Centre at the Cradle of Humankind, recently received a makeover implemented by talented programmers and designers at Flow Communications.
The new redesign features improved visual navigation with three tabs at the top of the home page directing visitors to different sections of the website. In addition to the visitors section, which has the main Maropeng content, new tabs have been added for the online shop, where visitors can book online for special events, as well as a media page, which has the latest press releases for downloading. Flow creates an online home for the KwaZulu-Natal music industry

Flow’s latest website development project, www.kumisa.com, has given the talented musicians of KwaZulu-Natal a collective voice.
The first project of its kind in South Africa, Kumisa.com was launched on Friday 25 March 2011. It is the official online home of the KwaZulu-Natal United Music Industry Association (KUMISA), an organisation formed to promote, protect and invest in the growth and diversity of the province’s music industry.
